Derrick "Andre" Reid Jr. is a Washington, D.C. native, former private police officer, and former K9 handler with a passion for protecting others and empowering his community. As an NRA and USCCA certified instructor with over three years of teaching experience, Derrick has trained hundreds of students in safe, effective firearm handling and self-defense. A dedicated father of two, he became an instructor after recognizing the critical need for accessible, high-quality training—especially for those often overlooked in the firearms community. His mission is simple: to help everyday people gain the confidence, knowledge, and skill to protect themselves and their loved ones.
